At its meeting on 25 September 2025 in Belgrade, the Governing Board of the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC) unanimously adopted the new AEPC Statutes and the Strategy 2026–2028.
This decision marks a decisive step in the ongoing reform process of the Association.
Modern governance and strategic focus
The new Statutes provide AEPC with a modern and transparent governance framework. They strengthen democratic processes, clarify responsibilities, and ensure stability across leadership transitions. Key elements include:
- A restructured Executive Committee with extended competences for operational steering and strategic implementation.
- The creation of Expert Committees to advance core thematic priorities across Europe.
- Clearer rules on membership, financial oversight, and decision-making procedures, reinforcing AEPC’s credibility as a trusted international partner.
The Strategy 2026–2028 defines AEPC’s strategic niches and objectives for the coming years. It focuses on:
- Police Leadership – strengthening ethical, strategic and resilient leadership capacities;
- Didactic Renewal – modernising police education through innovation, digitalisation and new pedagogical methods;
- Resilience & Mental Health – supporting operational and psychological resilience of police forces;
A shared commitment for the future
With these decisions, AEPC reinforces its role as Europe’s leading network of police education institutions, dedicated to professional excellence, democratic resilience, and cross-border cooperation.
The implementation of the Statutes and Strategy began on 25 September 2025. The prepared documents will then be made available to members separately.
